We quote FOB China port in USD and load from Shekou, Yantian, Nansha or Huangpu. Sea freight is arranged and paid by the buyer. We issue the packing list and the commercial invoice in our own name and clear customs ourselves, and a buyer without a forwarder of their own can ask us to run the shipment from booking through to delivery.
Terms of sale
Every quotation is written FOB China port in USD, and the formal quotation states how long it stays valid — normally 15 to 30 days. Sea freight is at the buyer’s account. None of this changes with order size, destination or the number of containers an order takes:
- FOB China port, USD. The price covers the goods and delivery to the port of loading.
- Sea freight at your account. Book it through your own forwarder, or ask us to handle it as part of the one-stop service below.
- Documents issued in our own name. We hold our own export entity and import/export licence, and we declare customs ourselves.
Ports, container capacity and transit
| What you are planning | What we can tell you |
|---|---|
| Loading ports | Shekou and Yantian (Shenzhen); Nansha and Huangpu (Guangzhou) |
| A 20GP container | Carries about 25 tonnes |
| A 40HQ container | Carries about 25 tonnes |
| Sea transit to the Middle East | About 35 days, subject to the sailing schedule |
Glass hardware is dense, so a container reaches its weight limit before it runs out of space. Those two figures are carrying capacity, not a rate and not a promise. How much of your order fits in one container depends on the models and their cartons, so we work the loading plan out order by order instead of quoting a container rate.
How loading is organised and evidenced
Goods are loaded at the workshop holding the largest share of the order, or delivered separately to your forwarder if that is how you buy. The loading is attended, and four things are sent to you the same day:
- Photographs of the empty container before loading starts.
- Photographs of the loading itself.
- Photographs of the sealed container as it leaves.
- The consolidated packing list for the shipment.
You can check the load against the packing list before the goods arrive.
Shipping without your own forwarder
Buyers with their own forwarder take FOB delivery as usual. If you import regularly but have no freight department — glass processing shops, small wholesalers and regional installers are the usual case — we can run the shipment end to end:
Booking
We book the container and the sailing that fits your required date.
Export declaration
We declare the goods for export in our own name, on our own licence.
Customs clearance cooperation
We provide the documents and the information the clearance agent at destination needs.
Consolidation
Several models, or several orders, shipped together in one container.
Delivery
Delivery arranged onward from the destination port.
What we need from you is short: the destination port and delivery address, your required date, and the documents your market requires for import. Import requirements are tied to the HS code and differ from country to country, so they are confirmed with the order.
Documents issued with an order
| Document | When it is issued |
|---|---|
| Quotation and proforma invoice | Before production, so you can arrange the deposit and your import paperwork |
| Packing list and commercial invoice | By us, in our own name, at loading |
| Bill of lading | Through the forwarder; goods are released against full payment and the original bill of lading |
| Inspection report and material certificate | On request, to your own template; spectrometer results are kept on file for every batch |
There is no public download area for certificates — documents are issued with the order they belong to. Compliance & documents sets out what each one covers and how certification is confirmed.
One set of terms for every customer
Commercial, payment and delivery terms are identical for every customer. The only thing that varies is the depth of the shipping and clearance service you choose: a buyer with an established forwarder takes standard FOB China port, while a buyer without one can add the steps above.
Send your destination port and required date with the enquiry, and the loading plan, documents and sailing are confirmed with the quotation. Production lead times, sampling and payment steps are set out on how to order, or email info@3sglasshardware.com.
