How to Order

End-to-end procurement workflow from inquiry and samples to deposit and delivery.

Ordering runs on a fixed route: you send the specification, we quote in USD on FOB China port terms, you confirm models, quantities and prices in writing, and production starts on the day the 30% deposit arrives. Samples take 5–7 days; bulk production takes 25–30 days from the deposit.

What we need before we can price

A quotation is only as good as the list behind it. For each model, send us:

  • The model number, or a clear photograph if you are working from a sample.
  • Quantity per model.
  • Material — 304, 316 or 201 stainless steel, zinc alloy or brass. Availability is confirmed per model.
  • Finish — polished, brushed, black, gold or PVD.
  • Glass thickness — 8, 10 or 12 mm.
  • Logo method, if the parts carry your brand: die-cast in the mould, or laser marking after production (OEM and ODM).
  • Packaging requirements.
  • Destination port, and the documents your market asks for.
  • The date you need the goods.

An incomplete list cannot be priced properly — we will come back with the question rather than a number. First reply is within 24 working hours, and standard items with complete information are quoted in full within one working day. Non-standard handles, new products, tooling and packaging details need the drawings first.

The ordering steps

  1. Step 1 — your enquiry with the specification above.
  2. Step 2 — our quotation in USD, FOB China port, valid 15–30 days as stated on the formal quotation.
  3. Step 3 — written confirmation of models, quantities and prices.
  4. Step 4 — proforma invoice.
  5. Step 5 — 30% T/T deposit.
  6. Step 6 — production starts the day the deposit arrives.
  7. Step 7 — inspection at four stages: incoming material, in production, bulk retained sample and before shipment. How inspection works.
  8. Step 8 — balance before shipment.
  9. Step 9 — loading, once the whole order is ready. Shipping and export.

Minimum order quantity

Orders without customisation start at 100 pcs. With customisation — a die-cast logo or custom packaging — the minimum is 1,000 pcs. There is no minimum order value.

Samples: three classes

Who pays what differs by class.

Class What it covers Who pays what
Current models Free of charge — one piece per model, up to five models per request Freight paid by the buyer and not refunded
Non-standard to your drawing A sample made to the drawing you send Sample charge plus freight; the sample charge is refunded once the bulk order is confirmed
New tooling New tooling for your model or your logo Tooling charge plus sample charge; tooling is not shared between customers, and the tooling charge is refunded against a later order at volume

Lead times

Samples are ready in 5–7 days. Bulk production takes 25–30 days, counted from the day the deposit arrives. Loading happens once the whole order is ready, not part-way through it. We confirm the schedule with the workshop 7 days before the due date.

Payment and release

Payment is 30% T/T deposit, balance before shipment. L/C, Western Union and PayPal are accepted case by case. Goods are released against full payment and the original bill of lading. Terms are USD, FOB China port, with sea freight at the buyer’s account.

If a date slips

When a confirmed date cannot be held you have three choices: accept the new date, ship the part that is ready, or cancel the part not yet in production. Compensation is limited to our own scope — expediting cost, a price concession or a remake — and does not cover your downstream losses. After-sales and warranty covers what happens after delivery, and if any step above needs a decision from us before you commit, write to info@3sglasshardware.com.
