What you must know before you place a glass fittings order
Most suppliers answer with a price and nothing else. These are the twelve points that decide your unit cost, your paperwork and your delivery date — the information you cannot see on a catalogue page, and the first thing we put on the table.
- Product type
- Shower hinges, glass clamps, door handles, knobs and locks, sliding door rollers, tube connectors. Tell us the application — shower enclosure, office glass door, partition or shopfront — and the fitting is chosen for it.
- Material
- Stainless steel 304 or 316, zinc alloy or brass. 201 looks the same in a photo and costs 30–50% less; we tell you which grade is in the quotation, and the spectrometer test on each batch proves it.
- Glass thickness
- 8 / 10 / 12 mm. The glass thickness decides which hinge or clamp model fits, so give us the thickness and the drill hole spacing before we quote.
- Door type & function
- Glass-to-wall or glass-to-glass, and hydraulic soft-close hinges for doors that should not slam. Ask for soft-close where the public uses the door, not only at home.
- Finish
- Polished, brushed, black, gold or PVD. Approve the finish on the sample — a colour name travels less reliably than a sample does.
- Logo method
- Laser marking, or a logo moulded into the die. Moulded needs a tool and a higher order quantity; laser marking costs less and can start from a few thousand pieces.
- Corrosion duty
- A shower indoors, or a wall outdoors by the sea? Salt air, humidity and cleaning chemicals decide whether 304 is enough or 316 is the safer grade — agree the corrosion test your project needs before the order.
- MOQ & tooling
- 100 pieces for a standard model, 1,000 pieces when the logo is moulded or the packaging is printed. Tooling is charged separately and can be refunded against a later order.
- Samples & lead time
- Samples in 5–7 days. Bulk production in 25–30 days, counted from the day the deposit arrives, not from the day you send the enquiry.
- Trade terms
- FOB China port, quoted in USD. Loading from Shekou, Yantian, Nansha or Huangpu; about 25 tonnes to a 20GP or 40HQ, and about 35 days to the main Middle East ports.
- Documents
- A spectrometer test on every batch at an independent lab, an inspection report and a material certificate issued to your own template. Certification depends on the product and your market — tell us the port and we confirm what applies; where a test is required, we can send samples for testing.
- Payment & warranty
- 30% T/T deposit, balance before shipment; L/C, Western Union and PayPal also accepted. Warranty: zinc alloy 6 months, stainless steel and brass 2 years.
Ask for the spec sheet
A usable spec sheet names the grade (304 or 316), the glass thickness it fits, the finish and the MOQ — with a model number, not a marketing line.
Ask for the spectrometer report
Every batch is sampled and tested on a spectrometer at an independent lab. If the material does not match the quotation, the batch does not ship — ask for the report for the batch you are buying.
Ask for the packaging dieline
Retail packaging is prepared from your artwork before production, so barcodes, warnings and languages are right on the first run.
